The tax base of the HOUSE is not the same as the household money
Turnover, tax spending and account money are three different views, how not to confuse them in budgeting and financial planning.
What does the tax base mean
The IRS tax base is not the net income of households. In planning, distinguish the revenue received, actual costs, tax expenses and the amount deferred on premiums and taxes. The tax flat-rate and flat-rate tax are in addition two different steps.
- Market: follow the orders actually paid, not just the invoices.
- Tax expenditure: verify your method and legal limitations.
- Family balance sheet: Use the amount after real costs and booking of mandatory payments.
The tax result depends on income and expenditure under the Income Tax Act. Shortcut of income minus expenditure is a good start to the explanation, but not a complete guide for each. Depending on the method of recording, adjustments and other income. The resulting tax also affects legal deductions and discounts. The very basis of the separate activity is therefore neither the amount of tax nor the free balance of households.
| Term | What shows | What do you not make of it |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice and revenue | The range of orders and received money according to the chosen view. | The amount invoiced may not be paid or the entire applicable house. |
| Tax expenditure | Expenditure to be incurred on a tax basis. | It may not correspond to the actual cost paid when using expenditure percentages. |
| Sub-base on separate activities | Result for tax assessment of separate activity. | It's not the final tax or the net monthly pleasure. |
| Domestic money | The amount actually applicable after business costs and obligations. | It does not automatically arise by dividing the tax base by twelve. |
The flat-rate issue is not a flat-rate tax
Expenditure by a percentage of income is the method of applying expenditure when determining the tax result. The applicable rate and limitation depend on the activity and the current rules. The flat rate scheme is another institution: it combines income tax and public premiums into regular payments, subject to conditions. Not one procedure means that you can ignore the actual costs or records needed to prove the conditions met.
Model example without tax calculation
Imagine a month when customers actually pay 80 000 Kt. After real operating costs of CZK 20 000, 60 000 CZK remains before insurance, taxes and other liabilities. This is not yet a net income of the household. The tax result can be different according to the selected method of spending. The example does not include VAT or your specific tax.
What amount to enter in the calculator
Use a long-term sustainable household amount after real business costs and reserve money for mandatory payments. For irregular income, look at a longer period, not the best month. The tax base and the assessment bases for insurance premiums are not interchangeable; the contributions have their own rules. PDF of the budget does not replace this difference and is not a tax declaration.
The text is a general review, not an individual tax, accounting or legal assessment. Check with the accounting officer, tax advisor or competent authorities for the specific procedure and current obligations.
