A phone you don't want as a financial advisor ever to get
Why life insurance is not just a product, but a key protection of the family in the hardest time.
Some of the calls you remember your whole life.
Not for words.
Because of the way the world stops at them.
A friend of mine called me the other day, and by the sound of his voice, I knew something was wrong.
Then she came up with a sentence that can't be prepared.
Sofinka has a leukémia.--
For a moment I stayed completely mute, just holding my phone and listening, in my head quietly, this strange dull feeling where you know someone's life has just changed in one branch.
And, actually, yours.
Because at that point, you'll have a lot of things going through your mind.
Memories. Interviews. Situations you two have been dealing with.
And there's one thing I've been dealing with for the last two years.
Life insurance.
Friends aren't clients
I never talk to my friends about making deals with them.
I've never done that before.
I'm not calling them to arrange anything for them. I'm not chasing them because of the financial plan.
But the truth is, in most cases, I wish they could handle me.
Not because of me.
Because of him.
Because I see things that they don't often see.
I see the stories of families whose lives have turned upside down in a moment. I see situations where finance suddenly plays a huge role in the moment when one would prefer not to solve them at all.
And that was one of those moments.
The worst sentence you can say
When we spoke, at some point, what I knew came from the beginning.
They don't have life insurance.
And that's when you realize some things just can't be returned.
There's no turning back time.
There's no turning back the decision that's been postponed.
We can't return the conversations that ended with a sentence, sometimes we can work it out.
The only thing you can say is:
„Jsem tady pro tebe.“
Help me see what I need.
Be available.
Keeping him in a situation no parent can imagine.
But at the same time, somewhere inside, you know it could have been different.
There's another reality.
There is one more sentence I would like to say in such a situation.
Whatever happens, we have insurance. It gives us time to breathe.
Because that's actually the point of life insurance.
Not cure the sick.
Don't stop the tragedy.
But give the family space.
Give her time.
Give her peace the moment the whole world suddenly starts to fall apart.
Because the reality of this situation isn't just sick.
It's all around.
A job.
Mortgage.
The end.
Normal household run.
Suddenly, you're faced with a question that most parents don't even accept:
How do you combine work and care for a child who now needs parents more than ever?
And right here, a high-quality insurance policy can make huge differences.
The money's not the most important thing, but in crises, they make decisions.
When we talk about life insurance, a lot of people feel like it's more financial products.
Another contract.
Another item in expenditure.
But in real life, it doesn't work that way.
In crisis situations, money ceases to be the number in the table.
They become tools that allow the family to survive the hardest time.
It allows parents to stay home.
It allows the family to handle the loss of income.
It allows you to focus on what's really important.
To be together.
That's something most people don't realize until it's too late to figure it out.
The biggest mistake people make
One of the things I hear most is:
This isn't happening to us.
And I understand.
No one wants to think that his child might get sick.
Nobody wants to think about disability, serious illness or death.
It's an unpleasant subject.
But the reality of life is that these things just happen.
Not just somewhere far away.
People you know are happening.
Friends.
Family.
The people of your neighborhood.
And that's why it makes sense to think about these things at a time when everything's okay.
Not until something happens.
Why am I doing this job?
When someone asks me why I'm doing financial advice, the answer is not in products.
It's in these stories.
Because finance isn't just numbers.
It's human life.
They're families who want to be sure they can handle hard times.
It's the kids that need parents the moment life puts them before the hardest test.
And I would like as few people as possible to stand on the other side of the phone and hear the phrase:
I wish we could have worked it out then.
Life insurance is not about a contract
It may sound strange when a financial advisor says so, but life insurance is not about a contract.
It's a decision.
A decision to protect your family.
Deciding to think about things that aren't pleasant.
Decision to create a safe space for people you care most about.
Because when the moment comes when life breaks in one phone call, there's no time to think.
By then, you need things set up.
- Simple question.
If you have a family, children or someone dependent on your income, try
One simple question:
What would happen if everything was different tomorrow?
Can your family handle the blackout?
Could she handle a situation where you'd have to stay home for a long time?
Could she handle the hardest scenarios we don't want to think about?
If you're not sure of the answer, maybe it's worth watching it together.
Not because of the contract.
It's for the peace.
Because that's what's sometimes the greatest value in life.

The life insurance of a child is not about you wanting to make money on it, it's about you having the resources to take care of it when it needs you most.
